Kim Tate departed Emmerdale last night, with no word on when – or if – she’ll be back.
The Home Farm matriarch left beau Will Taylor just moments after getting him to move in with her!
Will was understandably confused about where he stood, but Kim told him they’d talk if she decided to come back.

What did fans say about Kim’s exit?
Fans were understandably surprised as it seemed like Kim’s decision to leave came pretty out of the blue.
However, many of them have been left saying the same thing: it’s not the first time she’s left and she has, in fact, made “countless comebacks”. One even referred to her as a yo-yo!

Why did Kim leave Emmerdale?
It’s been a rough few months for Kim, that’s for sure. She was poisoned by her son, who then faked his own death to get away from her.
After Jamie crashed into a lake and his vehicle was recovered but not his body, Kim was resolute he was still alive.
However, when he failed to show up to Andrea Tate’s memorial service last week, Kim realised he was definitely gone.
But that was the double-bluff, because Andrea’s mum, Hazel, showed up to take custody of Millie – and drove her home where her dad was waiting. So Jamie is alive, but Kim doesn’t know it.
As she tries to come to terms with the ‘death’ of her son and the loss of her granddaughter, Kim started spiraling into self-destruct mode. She threatened Paddy and Chas, who had kidnapped her horse in order to blackmail her.
Will overheard her threats to call the cops on them and issued her an ultimatum: let Paddy off the horse-doping hook or else Will couldn’t be with her.
Although she agreed to relieve her hold on Paddy and Chas, Kim decided she needed to go before she destroyed her relationship with Will too. Although he asked her to stay, she said what they had was too good for her to ruin it.

Has Kim Tate left Emmerdale for good?
Emmerdale has not confirmed whether this exit for Kim is a permanent one.
For such a huge legacy character, it seems a quiet departure if this is her last goodbye.
Something tells us we’ll be seeing Kim again – but when, or why, who knows?
And with Bernice trying to get her claws into Will, it remains to be seen whether Kim will have a man waiting for her when she does comeback…
