How did Frankie Bridge and Wayne Bridge meet?

Frankie – whose maiden name is Sandford – met Wayne in 2011 and they married in 2014.

According to reports, they were introduced by James Corden, who put their phone numbers into each other’s mobiles for them.

Wayne recalled about how their relationship began: “And then we basically text a little bit, and just ended up going for dinner.”

Does Frankie Bridge have children?

Frankie is a mum of two boys, who she shares with Wayne.

Parker was born in October 2013 and Carter was born in August 2015.

She has previously explained that she found pregnancy tough and it was exacerbated with her experience of depression.

Frankie has also detailed how living with an eating disorder and being on anti-depressants while pregnant affected her. She reportedly gained four stone while pregnant with Parker.

She said earlier this year: “I kept gaining and gaining weight. It was horrible. One, because it was the first time I had ever gained weight and being so out of control.”

Frankie added: “For me pregnancy is more a means to an end. I get the gorgeous baby at the end but I don’t enjoy the process in between.”

She continued: “When I had my second – I am not a religious person – the minute I found out I was pregnant I burst into tears and said: ‘I don’t want to get fat again.’ Then I got sick and lost half a stone really quickly.

“[I thought] this is God punishing me for wanting to get pregnant but not wanting to get fat again.”

What else has Frankie Bridge said about mental health issues?

Frankie has been very open about her struggles with depression on TV and in the press.

She has addressed enduring panic attacks, taking medication and being in rehab during interviews over the past few years.

Frankie has subsequently becoming an ambassador for charity Mind.

She indicates she has suffered with poor mental health since she was teenager – and was a ‘worried’ child, too.

In 2011, while filming a music video in Iceland, Frankie hit rock bottom with her despair. This lead to her hospitalisation on her return to the UK.

She later revealed: “I’d reached a point where I couldn’t cope with every day life.”

“I was constantly crying and telling my partner that I didn’t really want to be here any more,” Frankie added.

The Saturdays continued with four members while Frankie underwent treatment.

But even they didn’t know how serious Frankie’s illness had been.

“It frightened them and they were shocked at how bad it was because up to that point I was so good at hiding it,” she reflected.

But she does admit she is likely to find Bushtucker Trials difficult – and even has a phobia of tomato ketchup.

Nonetheless, she reckons she will be able to give affection to other contestants on the show as she is a “serial hugger”.
