Fans of EastEnders saw two of their favourite characters join forces in dramatic scenes this week, and it left them wanting more.
On Thursday night (June 20), the soap’s feistiest matriarchs Sharon Mitchell and Karen Taylor came together for a dramatic stunt and viewers hailed them Walford’s answer to Thelma and Louise!

Putting their mutual hostility for each other to one side, the pair united for a common cause – to abduct Keanu in order to scare the living daylights out of him.
After finding out about Sharon’s pregnancy and jumping to the conclusion he’s the dad – and not Phil – Keanu had threatened to blurt out the truth.
However, Sharon knows that Phil is more than capable of killing him, when and if he finds out.

Convincing Karen to help her with her (rather ludicrous) plan, the pair decided to lock Keanu in an abandoned warehouse to make him think Phil was going to murder him.
However, when Karen got cold feet about drugging her own son and tying him to a chair, Sharon punched Karen in the face.
Viewers were stunned to see Karen slump to the ground like a sack of spuds.
And fans LOVED the double act, and demanded to see more of the pairing on screen.
One wrote: “I need more Sharon and Karen teaming up, the new Thelma and Louise. I am here for Karen delivering Sharon’s baby. I want them to be friends. Well done Lorraine and Letitia. #EastEnders.”
Another said: “This episode involving Keanu, Sharon and Karen is good.”
A third added: ‘Sharon and Karen teaming up, never thought I’d see the day.”

Whether they team up again seems unlikely, though, what with Karen nursing a sore head and all.
But what seems most unlikely is that Phil stays in the dark about Sharon’s affair!
