Lisa Armstrong hints at life being hard with online message

She liked a tweet that said "life sucks"

Makeup artist Lisa Armstrong has shown her appreciation for a social media post about life being hard as reports suggest her ex Ant McPartlin wants to marry his new girlfriend.

The pair are in the process of finalising their divorce, although they’re believed to have hit a stalemate over money matters.

Now, Lisa has ‘liked’ a tweet from pop star Paloma Faith that read: “Life can really suck at times.”

While it’s not clear exactly why Lisa liked the tweet or why its message might have resonated with her, it follows reports that Ant wants to pop the question to Anne-Marie Corbett once the divorce is complete.

Friends of the Britain’s Got Talent presenter reportedly think he’s close to proposing.

A source told The Sun earlier this month that the two are now living together and “their friends half-expect further news, like an engagement”.

In December, a source quoted by Bella magazine said Lisa was “cut up” over the idea of Ant asking Anne-Marie to marry him.

They told the publication: “It would break Lisa, especially as she’s nowhere near being over Ant. She’s still so cut up about the end of her marriage, and while she’s better than she was, she often struggles.

“She has good days and bad days, but unlike other people in the same situation, she has had to share her pain with the world.”

In January, Ant appeared to take a thinly veiled swipe at his ex when he told The Sun that it’s not his “style” to use social media and publicise his “personal views”.

Lisa appeared to hit back at the dig by liking a string of tweets that criticised Ant, although the makeup artist been quieter on social media in recent weeks.

She is believed to be in talks to host her own TV show about break-ups that will empower women coming out of relationships.

The programme, which reportedly has the working title The Strong Girl’s Club, could target famous faces like Megan Barton-Hanson, who split with fellow Love Island star Wes Nelson following his stint on Dancing On Ice.

An insider told Heat magazine: “It’s all very positive and not about trashing your ex – just about moving forward in life.”
