BGT fans slam show for number of adverts – including one for Viagra!

Britain's got loads of adverts?

Viewers of Britain’s Got Talent made a lot of cups of tea last night – as ITV showed a ‘ridiculous’ amount of adverts, according to frustrated fans.

Those watching the 90-minute semi-final on Wednesday night (May 29) claimed the show had an ad break after almost every act, with one joking it could have been renamed Britain’s Got Loads of Adverts.

And fans have made the same claims all week.

The semi-final week of live shows, leading up to Sunday’s grand finale, is a huge week for ITV.

Millions of viewers have been tuning in to watch the best acts go head to head – and several Corrie storylines are also coming to a dramatic climax in the prime time slot of 9pm.

So it’s little surprise that the advertisers will pay big bucks to promote their products…

But fans complaining about the amount of adverts have mocked the channel for the volume of ads – and even the content, with some insisting they are not suitable for family viewing.

One said: “Should rename this programme Britain’s Got Loads Of Adverts.”

Another added: “Loads of adverts again tonight – ridiculous.”

A third sighed: “Tonight on BGT – adverts.”

“Too many adverts, boring!” slammed another, while another seethed: “Adverts with talent.”

“More BGT adverts again!” wrote another. “We use to get adverts between shows. Now we get shows between adverts! This is why people stream so much!”

Other fans slammed the channel for featuring an advert for Viagra – a drug taken to increase blood flow to the penis and improve erectile function.

One viewer tweeted: “Viagra advert just before BGT. I’ll just explain that to the kids then.”

Another angry viewer agreed, saying: “What the [bleep] is a Viagra advert doing on before BGT results show comes on? It’s a family show! Jeez.”

Other advertisers included Marks & Spencer – who are sponsoring the show this year – Werther’s Original and Iceland.

Last night saw Colin Thackery and comedian Kojo Anim get through to the final.

The series continues tonight (May 30) with another eight acts – and more adverts!
