BGT viewers call out huge blunder as wrong act named as finalist

Musical comedian Siobhan Phillips was missing from the leaderboard

Britain’s Got Talent viewers were left baffled after the wrong finalist was shown on the leaderboard at the end of the semi-final last night.

Chelsea pensioner Colin Thackery and comedian Kojo Anim won spots in the Sunday night’s final after winning over the judges and public with their performances.

However, viewers were left scratching their heads as photos of the finalists so far popped up on screen.

The leaderboard showed stuntman Matt Stirling as a finalist despite him being booted out the day before during Tuesday night’s semi-final.

Instead, musical comedian Siobhan Phillips actually made it through to the final after winning over viewers and the judges with her song about her toddler daughter.

But last night, viewers spotted that Siobhan was missing from the list of finalists.

One person wrote on Twitter: “Did they actually forget to include Siobhan Phillips in the Finalists board on?”

Another said: “So where’s Siobhan Phillips gone? She’s no longer on the finals board. Not that I’m complaining because I much preferred Matt Stirling.”

A third tweeted: “Errr @BGT are you ok huns? @shivphillips77 picture wasnt on the finalist board at the end! Please tell me this was a mistake?! She’s in the final RIGHT!? Calm my nerves, please!”

Ent Daily has contacted reps for BGT for comment.

Meanwhile, last night, Chelsea Pensioner Colin left viewers in tears with his emotional performance of Vera Lynn’s famous We’ll Meet Again in memory of his late wife Joan.

Black and white images of the pair flashed behind Thackery inside the Hammersmith Apollo in London.

The audience waved their arms back and forth and poppies rained from the ceiling as Thackery sung backed by a troupe of Chelsea Pensioners.

After he was announced as winner, co-host Ant McPartlin asked if he knew what had just happened.

He said: “Sorry what. I have vague idea, yes. Thank you very much. Thank you. It’s just starting to sink in.”

Stand-up comedian Kojo also made it through to the final after securing all four judges’ votes.

* Britain’s Got Talent live semi-finals continue at 7.30pm tonight on ITV.
