I’m A Celebrity 2021 viewers complain about amount of adverts shown during first episode

A new bunch of celebrities entered the castle

Our favourite survival reality TV show is back as I’m A Celebrity 2021 returned to our screens last night.

But TV viewers have complained about the annoying amount of adverts shown during the first episode.

Millions of fans tuned in to watch the launch of the brand new series on Sunday night as it took place at Gwrych Castle in Wales for the second year running.

Fans were thrilled to have Ant and Dec and a new bunch of celebs back on their screens. But many complained about the amount of adverts.

Many were displeased with the number of adverts ITV decided to air during the one hour and 40-minute episode.

Viewers weren’t impressed, taking to Twitter in their droves to complain.

One person said: “You would think it’s nearly Christmas or something, with the amount of Christmas adverts during the ad breaks of I’m A Celeb.”

Another wrote: “If I see anymore adverts.”

Meanwhile, a third added: “Can you cut down the adverts… too many adverts on ITV.”

A fourth said: “Far too many adverts yet again!”

What happened in last night’s show?

Meanwhile, it seems the launch show was quite the eye-opener for the celebrities entering Gwrych Castle.

Music producer Naughty Boy and Emmerdale‘s Danny Miller were dropped off a cliff in the jaw-dropping opening challenge Walk The Plank and formed the yellow team.

Former Strictly Come Dancing star Arlene Phillips and football legend David Ginola lost their battle to find some keys and joined the yellow losing team alongside Naughty Boy and Danny Miller.

Meanwhile, Olympic gold medal winner Matty Lee and Paralympian Kadeena Cox, DJ Snoochie Shy, broadcaster Louise Minchin formed the winning red team.

Frankie Bridge and Richard Madeley are the final two celebrities to enter the castle

The final two celebrities to enter the show were singer Frankie Bridge and GMB host Richard Madeley taking on the first trial of the series Turrets of Terror.

While Frankie was picked to join the winning red team, Richard was left with the losing yellow team.

Unfortunately, Richard, 65, lost the trial to Frankie, 32, and he and his fellow teammates were banished to Clink Castle – the all-new castle jail.

Meanwhile, Frankie and her teammates excitedly walked the red carpet to the main castle camp.

And, actor Danny suffered further upset after the public voted for him to participate in tonight’s (22 November) Bushtucker eating trial – Dreaded Diner.

We can wait for more drama.

I’m A Celebrity continues on ITV, tonight (November 22), at 9pm.
