EastEnders viewers heartbroken as Chantelle Atkins appears to lose her baby

Chantelle discovered she was pregnant a few weeks ago!

Viewers of EastEnders have been left heartbroken as Chantelle Atkins appeared to suffer a miscarriage.

In last night’s episode of the soap (October 21 2019) Chantelle’s husband Gray wanted his wife to stay at home.

However, he didn’t look happy when he saw her working a shift in the Fox & Hair salon to help out Denise.

Along with her mum Karen, he organised a family celebration in The Vic where he announced they were expecting their third child.

But poor Chantelle had been suffering with stomach pain in the salon and continued to have pains.

After Gray announced the news, she went into the toilet, but as she looked down she started crying, leading viewers to believe that she was bleeding and potentially miscarrying.

Chantelle’s miscarriage scene broke my heart.

Gray, who is abusive towards Chantelle, soon came into the bathroom and apologised for announcing the news but explained he was excited for a new beginning.

He told his wife he didn’t want anything bad to happen to the baby and Chantelle didn’t tell him about the pain or bleeding.

Viewers know Gray is abusive towards Chantelle and has physically harmed her many times, even locking her in the house.

Weeks ago, just before Chantelle discovered she was pregnant, Gray punched his wife in the stomach leaving viewers horrified.

Since discovering she was pregnant, Gray has been telling his wife he wants to change and has been attending therapy for his anger.

Fans think Chantelle will lose her baby, but won’t tell her husband in order to stop the solicitor from hurting her.
