They might have vowed to just be friends, but something changes between Peter Barlow and Carla Connor next week and the pair end up sharing a kiss… on the same day that Peter also kisses Abi Franklin!
After agreeing at New Year that they were better off as friends, Carla and Peter have been getting on brilliantly since the start of the year, with Carla even buying Peter the boat he has always dreamt of owning.
But next week sees Peter find himself getting confused about which Weatherfield woman he is supposed to be with.

First he bonds with Abi as the pair work on the boat together. And when he gives Abi a job fixing up the boat full-time, it looks like the pair are going to be spending a lot more time together.
When Abi has a bad day at the court hearing for Seb’s adoption battle for the twins, Peter senses she’s upset and invites her onto the boat for a heart-to-heart.
But, of course, one thing leads to another and the pair end up sharing a passionate kiss… but how will Carla feel when she finds out Peter is moving on?
Unsurprisingly Carla is in a foul mood for the rest of the week, with Michelle picking her up on it when she is uncharacteristically rude to a potential customer.
But Carla keeps the real reason she is grumpy to herself, not wanting anyone to know the truth.
But Peter clearly also having second thoughts and goes to see Carla at the factory and confronts her about their relationship.

Moving in for a kiss, it’s clear that Peter is more than a little confused after he has only just told Abi that he and Carla are nothing more than friends.
But how will Carla respond to Peter’s advances? And where does this leave Abi?
