Coronation Street are lining up a huge new storyline for 2019 when the roof of factory Underworld collapses, putting lives at risk.
But as the accident, due to air in March, draws closer, the soap may have been dropping hints about who’s going to die.
Show boss Iain MacLeod revealed to Digital Spy last year that the collapse will at first appear an accident, “but will then be revealed to be a mystery and it’ll have been some kind of criminal enterprise that causes it all to fall down.
“Somebody will be dying in said collapse. I’m not going to tell you who that is or who pulls the factory roof down! It’s going to collapse. The roof will fall in.”
He also confirmed this will be the crowning of the next super-villain, who many people believe to be Nick Tilsley, and who will be at fault for the collapse.
But whose lives are on the line? Here’s seven possible exits:
Sinead Osbourne
Sinead is currently facing a fight for her life against cervical cancer.
As she undergoes radiotherapy to try and beat the disease, could it all be for nothing if she dies in the roof collapse?
MacLeod recently told The Mirror that Carla Connor is set to get the blame for the collapse (so we know she doesn’t die) and is targeted by angry Underworld workers and residents.
But he also said Peter Barlow could be her big supporter as she heads towards a standalone mental health episode, struggling to cope with all that she’s being accused of.
The Barlows apparently aren’t happy that Peter is on her side – could that be because one of their own has been lost? Sinead does work in the factory, after all…
Beth Tinker
Revealing to press the death will be “heartbreaking” what could be more so than watching luckless Kirky, Beth’s husband, grieving for his love?
And Beth’s death would also have an impact on Craig, who’s been quiet of late, but who’s also crying out for a storyline and perhaps a more in-depth look at his OCD.
Kirk Sutherland
Kirk’s a factory worker, he’s related to plenty of people in Weatherfield, but he doesn’t really do a lot, does he?
But he’s such a huge character having been in the show for nearly 19 years, his death would be sure to have an impact.

Izzy Armstrong
Izzy’s not had much going on recently, but she works in the factory so is bang in the line of fire.
She’s a mum to young Jake, with Gary Windass, and her death would leave the little lad in Gary’s full-time care. If Gary, who’s short of cash and already driving girlfriend Sarah Platt away, was to be sole carer for his son, could this open up a whole load of new storylines for them?
Is Izzy more interesting dead than she is alive?
Sarah Platt
Sarah works in the factory (are you sensing a theme here?), and she’s at the heart of the Platt family.
Actress Tina O’Brien has revealed to Metro.co.uk: “There are going to be lots of secrets and it looks as though the family are going to be tested once more. But this time it isn’t someone from outside causing them problems it is all internal.”
Could the “problem” be Sarah’s death – that’s been caused by super-villain Nick?
Nick Tilsley
Has the soap thrown us a complete red herring in having us assume Nick is the new super-villain?
Is Nick actually going to be the new super-villain’s victim?
It’s his factory, and the Platts are going to be thrown into turmoil… His death would also have an affect on Leanne, the storyline possibilities are huge…

Sean Tully
Actor Antony Cotton has spoken out about the upcoming storyline and told how his character is involved.
He told The Sun: “It’s related to me. There’s one outcome but a dozen of us involved.”
