Andy Whyment and his Coronation Street co-stars will enjoy a two-week break over the festive period.
Now he is set for a rest over the Christmas period along with his fellow Weatherfield residents.
He said: "I might be in work next week. We've got filming next week.
"We break up on the 20th for two weeks."
Despite wowing in the jungle, Andy insists he has no desire to land a huge storyline on Corrie, because he is quite happy for Kirk to "float about" on the cobbles.
He continued to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I'm happy to do what I do. I don't want a massive storyline.
"I love playing Kirk. He's one of those characters who floats about, but is never heavily involved ... I'm going back to my job that I love.
"I feel privileged to have been part of Coronation Street for 19 years and, touch wood, that continues for a very long time."
He added it was a "win-win" situation for him as he's done "one of the biggest reality shows in UK".
He also said it "means a lot" that he came second and that the British public have "been voting for Andy Whyment and not Kirk from Corrie."
Andy's latest comments come after he revealed before he went into the jungle that he was "guaranteed" to do 80 episodes of Coronation Street per year.
I'm going back to my job that I love.
The Weatherfield legend - who has played Kirk since 2000 - said: "I am guaranteed 80 episodes. If I do 83 or 84 I am happy days.
"Some people want to be in 150 episodes, whereas I am happy to just do what I do."
