Phillip Schofield: This Morning star’s personal fortune ‘grows £800,000 in a year’

Phillip Schofield reportedly saw his personal fortune grow by £800,000 last year.

The This Morning presenter, 58, had a not-too-shoddy £2.5million in his bank account, official records show.

How did Phillip Schofield earn his money?

The Sun reports that the Silver Fox’s assets were up from £1.7million the year before.

The increase in earnings is down to a mega-bucks £1.45million deal he signed for his autobiography.

And only yesterday Phillip was unveiled as the face of a new gin calendar.

It’s said that that deal was worth £60,000.

He and This Morning co-presenter Holly Willoughby were said to have received £150,000 a year pay rise after the show was extended in the wake of the Jeremy Kyle Show scandal.

What else has Phillip been up to?

A source told the newspaper: “Phillip may be two years off 60, but he’s still a telly powerhouse – and very much in demand.

“He’s ambitious, and quite rightly has no desire to slow down any time soon.”

Phillip’s business interests also extend to the wine industry.

Delighted to have won an internationally renowned award yesterday.

Earlier in the summer, he revealed that his company – When In Rome wine – won a bronze medal in the IWSC awards for its white Falanghina wine.

“Delighted to have won an internationally renowned award yesterday,” he said.

“One ambition when creating my wines was to help challenge the perceptions of boxed wine, showing that they’re excellent quality as well as being eco-friendly.”

This Morning going from strength to strength

Despite all his extracurricular earning potential, Phil is now back at the day job.

There was joy in the This Morning studio when Alison Hammond revealed that the show had won a TV Choice Award.

Winning Best Daytime Show, This Morning beat out fellow ITV daytime show GMB.

“This is the fifth one we’ve won,” she said.

“We’ve beat off Good Morning Britain, Piers Morgan, Loose Women, The Chase. Sorry guys, but we won!”
