Gemma Collins is reportedly upset over “outrageous” claims that it’s her fault boyfriend James Argent has gained weight.
The reality star, known as Arg, recently admitted he’s trying to lose seven stone as he’s currently the heaviest he’s ever been.
Some fans are believed to have blamed Gemma, 37, for her boyfriend’s expanding waistline, but an insider revealed The GC is “hurt” at suggestions that she’s somehow to blame.

Speaking to Closer magazine, an unnamed source said: “Gemma’s been really hurt by the comments and says it’s outrageous to blame her.
“But some of her friends have voiced their concerns over Arg’s weight gain and his pals are becoming more concerned.”
The publication also claims that, according to Gemma, Arg’s unhealthy eating habits are the sole reason for his weight gain, as she reportedly said: “I’ve never eaten in Nando’s so much since I’ve been with James.”
What’s more, the source said Gemma protested that she “can’t control what he eats all the time” and thinks Arg binge eats when they’re not together.
ED! has contacted Gemma’s reps for comment.
It follows the pair’s big split last month, when Gemma kicked Arg out of their home after he posted an unflattering video of Gem on Instagram and then, in the spat that followed, sent her nasty messages about her weight.
Gemma got back at Arg after he apologised for the messages by liking a post that compared him to Mrs Doubtfire, the fictional drag-nanny from the film of the same name.
Unfortunately, Gemma’s no stranger to being body shamed.
The TOWIE star, who was on the last series of Dancing On Ice, told ITV’s Lorraine that she had been “fat-shamed” on the show, with judge Jason Gardiner telling her after one performance: “We’re not going to see big lifts from you.”
But she’s rising above it all and working on taking her career to new heights.
Earlier this month, she revealed plans to move to the US in pursuit of a TV career across the Atlantic, and over the weekend it emerged that she’s preparing to enter the music business.
According to reports, Gemma’s going to release music with DJ and record producer Naughty Boy about her on-off relationship with Arg.

In a conversation with The Sun, Naughty Boy said: “[Gemma] was born to sing, it’s just that she’s actually taken a different route with it.
“But I think Gemma is going to have one of the biggest songs of the year, I can say that with my hand on my heart.”
He added: “It’s definitely a romantic song and Gemma’s got such a big heart, it makes a lot of sense of her whole life right now.”
