James ‘Arg’ Argent ‘APOLOGISES’ to Gemma Collins after fat-shaming and public humiliation

Friends now think she will take him back

Just days after their bitter split, Gemma Collins and James Argent are set to reunite as he has reportedly been doing some serious grovelling.

Gemma called things off after Arg posted an unflattering video of her snoring online and then sent her a series of nasty messages about her weight.

But, despite still being ‘hurt’ by his behaviour, pals say the 38-year-old reality star is talking to him again after he apologised.

Now, those close to the TOWIE pair think it’s only a matter of time before they get back together.

A source told The Sun: “They’re talking again over the phone and things are moving in the right direction.

“There’s no doubt they will reconcile – they love each other too much for this to be the end.”

The gossiper added: “Arg has apologised and knows he was in the wrong, he’s absolutely gutted he’s lost her – they’ve both accepted they are hurt by everything that’s happened, but ultimately they want to be together.”

It comes as they are booked to go on a juicing retreat in Portugal this week.

Gemma and Arg, who have been on and off for almost seven years, split up over the weekend after Gemma was humiliated by his video prank.

According to The Sun, Arg proceeded to send the Essex girl mean messages, calling her a “fat lump” and sniped that she has “more rolls than Greggs.”

They had been living together but Gemma chucked the 31-year-old out of her Essex flat.

They have since been spending some time apart. Gemma has been staying with friend Dawn Ward and filming a cameo for The Real Housewives of Cheshire, while Arg has been hanging out with his pal Jake Hall in London.

Phillip Schofield, who worked alongside Gemma on Dancing On Ice, wasn’t convinced by their break-up. He predicted their reunion on This Morning yesterday.

The 56-year-old said: “They’ll get together, I have no doubt.”

Before their big bust-up, Gem and Arg revealed they planned to settle down and start a family soon.

Will we be seeing a reconciliation in sunny Portugal, then?
