Gemma Collins’ elimination from Dancing On Ice has seemingly prompted an audience slump.
The reality TV star’s behaviour on the ITV show attracted lots of attention, with as many as 7.6 million viewers tuning in to see Gemma fall on her face during one routine, after previously being called “lazy” and a “brat” by judge Jason Gardiner.
However, an average of 5.4 million viewers tuned in to watch Gemma eliminated from the show last weekend and had an audience peak of 6.5 million.

And this week, the viewing figures dropped to an average of 4.9 million and peaked with 5.6 million, suggesting that Gemma was the programme’s main attraction this year.
However, it was still ITV’s most watched programme of the night.
Viewers expressed how much they missed Gemma on social media during Sunday’s show, with some commenting the “entertainment value” had gone.

The 38-year-old made headlines during her stint on the programme after she clashed with judge Jason Gardiner last month and fell face-first onto the ice during one of her performances with her pro partner Matt Evers.
Gemma was voted off the competition earlier this month after receiving a mediocre 15.5 points out of 40 for her routine.
Following her exit, Gemma said on the show: “I’ve had fun and I’m a bit intuitional and I did say tonight’s my night, I just want to bow out gracefully now.”
Ahead of Sunday night’s show, Gemma posted a sweet message to her Twitter to wish her former co-stars luck.
She wrote: “Wishing all the amazing contestants s very good luck tonight @dancingonice.

Love Island contestant Wes Nelson remains the favourite to win, having bagged 38/40 – the highest score of the series – last Sunday.
