The Chase fans fuming with Bradley Walsh as he ‘rejects correct answer’

The contestant appeared to pronounce it wrong

The Chase viewers have accused host Bradley Walsh of rejecting a correct answer during yesterday’s show.

Quizzers David and Jan made it through to the final chase and went up against Chaser Shaun Wallace to try and take home a £9,000 cash prize between them.

During the quick-fire questions, Bradley asked the pair: “The Great Crane Robbery is an episode of which US sitcom?”

David replied: “Fraser.”

However, David’s answer was rejected by Bradley as the host repeated the contestant’s answer with the addition of the letter ‘I’ giving the name a whole new pronunciation.

He said: “Frasier,” and moved on to the next question.

Viewers watching from home were fuming and said Bradley should have accepted the answer.

One person said on Twitter: “How have they not given that geezer the point for ‘Frasier’ on the chase, because he pronounced it ‘Fraser’!!?? outrageous. I’m fuming about it #TheChase #ITV.”

Another wrote: “That Frasier one was harsh Brad #TheChase,” while a third added: “Ohhhhhh that was tough with the Frasier answer. They pronounce it “Fraser” on the show. #TheChase.”

David and Jan managed to bag 18 steps, however, Shaun still beat them with 11 seconds on the clock remaining.

A similar incident happened last week when viewers accused Bradley of accepting the wrong answer from Shaun – who is also known as The Dark Destroyer.

Bradley asked Shaun during the final chase: “What appliances are Dyson best known for?”

The Dark Destroyer replied: “Hoover.”

However, many viewers pointed out that that Hoover is actually a brand name and not the correct term.

Bradley accepted the answer and Shaun ended up beating the team with still 31 seconds remaining.
