On today’s programme, the pair chatted to film star Colin Salmon.

Colin has produced a short film – which aired on GMB and made Robert cry – to help launch this year’s 1 Million Minutes.

During the chat, Robert said: “I’m unashamed because people are tweeting in, Susanna, saying it’s bad that I cried. I don’t care!”

I don’t care!

Susanna, 50, interrupted: “Who is going to say being emotional about something so beautiful is a bad thing?!”

Earlier on in the show, Judge Rinder became tearful after watching the emotional charity clip.

On Twitter, one said: “Absolutely don’t blame Judge Rinder for crying at all, I was sobbing my eyes out about 3 seconds into that little film.”

A second added: “Why would anyone criticise Robert Rinder for crying – obviously someone with a heart of stone. Loving the show with Robert he is great presenter with great wit and compassion.”

A third wrote: “This is sad and beautiful at the same time. @RobbieRinder and @colinsalmon24 let those tears flow.”

In addition, a fourth said: “Wow how powerful, had tears streaming down my face. Watching Rob earlier this morning had me crying with him as well.”

Another fumed: “So what if Rob cried, he is compassionate, he is human, a decent person. To all those who have no feeling, shhh, any man who cries is MORE of a man to be able to show that emotion in the first place.

“There are disgusting folk out there, tell them to buy some decency!

However, one shared: “@GMB seriously does this Rinder fella ever stop crying?? Never thought I would say this but bring back Richard Madeley.”
