I’m A Celebrity viewers are wondering why Richard Madeley isn’t allowed back in the castle following his interview with Ant and Dec.
Richard was forced to quit the programme this week following a hospital dash due to a medical emergency.
The star explained that even though he was “fine”, he can’t re-enter the castle because he had “broken the COVID ‘bubble’” by leaving camp to go to hospital.

During last night’s show, Richard spoke to hosts Ant and Dec in the castle studio about his exit.

However, viewers said it didn’t make sense that Richard appeared in the studio with Ant and Dec – who go in and out of camp – but can’t actually go back in.
Many also wondered if Richard could go back in after providing a negative COVID-19 result.
What did viewers say?
One person said: “Why couldn’t Richard do a coronavirus test and if it came back negative then he could go back in?”
Another wrote: “How is Richard not about to go to the camp if he would’ve been negative for covid, seeing he’s able to speak to @antanddec so surely he wouldn’t be spreading the Covid.”
A third tweeted: “So it’s OK for Richard M to be interviewed in person in the studio by Ant & Dec, who are in the COVID bubble but he’s not able to go back into camp!? That doesn’t make much sense to me.”
Another added: “I don’t understand how it’s OK for Richard to be interviewed in the studio by Ant & Dec but can’t go back into camp, surely Ant & Dec are included in the covid bubble too?”
However, Ant and Dec responded to the questions.
Journalist Dawn Neesom tweeted: “So @richardm56 can’t go back into camp because of #Covid but can sit & talk to @antanddec who then go into camp? #ImACeleb #fishy.”

Ant and Dec said on their joint Twitter account: “At a 2m distance for 6 minutes. #NotThatFishy.”
Meanwhile, one fan also hit back: “[Covid] wouldn’t show up this soon.”
During his chat, Richard said he had “just a funny little turn” but he’s “as fit as a fiddle”.
