I’m A Celebrity: David Ginola given a telling off by producers for breaking rules, Richard Madeley reveals

More than one naughty boy in camp!

I’m A Celebrity star David Ginola is among show contestants who’ve been told off by bosses, Richard Madeley claims.

According to the GMB host, who has now exited the show, producers keep their eyes on contestants 24/7.

And French football star David, 54, fell foul of bosses’ ever-present glare while Richard was still in camp.

What did David Ginola do to get ‘told off’?

According to Richard, writing for the Telegraph, David broke one of the series’ biggest rules.

He explained David was “admonished” for the transgression – but was vague about the consequences of David’s actions.

Richard also likened the constant surveillance of the I’m A Celebrity camp to that dramatised in Jim Carrey film The Truman Show.

He indicated a reprimand came from on high, comparing it to “the voice of God”.

What did Richard say about I’m A Celebrity rule-breaking by David Ginola?

Richard suggested in his article there is zero tolerance of rule-breaking by show producers.

He wrote: “Like The Truman Show, they are always watching so you need to be careful. And if you dare break the rules, you’ll soon know about it.

If you dare break the rules, you’ll soon know about it.

“On one day, David Ginola covered both our microphones and whispered something conspiratorial to me. Instantly the voice of God rang out, admonishing him.”

Who else was given a ticking off?

Richard also seemed to confirm reports that Naughty Boy was also busted for a show wrongdoing.

He revealed Naughty Boy – real name Shahid Khan – was dealt with as he tried to smuggles spices into Gwrych Castle in his sock.

However, Richard seemed bemused that Naughty Boy didn’t try and get away with the breach.

Richard reflected: “The singer and producer Naughty Boy brought in some cumin in his sock to give our unseasoned food some flavour. He admitted it, for some reason, and had it confiscated instantly.”

I’m A Celebrity continues tonight, Tuesday November 30, on ITV at 9pm.
