The Chase host Bradley Walsh teases The Beast after unexpected admission

Bit rude, Bradders!?

The Chase host Bradley Walsh took his light-hearted banter with the chasers a bit too far this week, when he made an apparent jibe about Mark Labbett's waistline.

On Thursday (May 30), Mark - aka The Beast - revealed a little known fact about himself... And joker Bradley pounced with a comment some fans might describe as fatist.

During a round against 56-year-old contestant Cath, a legal secretary from Wigan, Mark revealed he'd once done an interview for a health magazine - a fact that Bradley found surprising.

The host read out the question: "Which magazine isn't a men's magazine?"

The answers given were either Esquire, GQ or This is Life.

That wasn't nice, Bradley. You really aren't funny.

Cath plumped for the third option - which was revealed to be the correct answer.

To which Mark chimed in: "I've done an interview with Men's Health, but never Esquire."

Bradley, not bothering remotely to hide his shock, responded by saying: "You've done an interview with Men's Health?"

Clearly referring to Mark's weight, Bradley continued: "What were you? A page? Three? Four? Five? Six? And seven, big guy?"

He joked, shaking his head: "You're having a laugh, aren't you?"

Luckily, Mark saw the funny side, and laughed along with Bradley.

However one viewer couldn't help defending Mark, tweeting: "That wasn't nice, Bradley. You really aren't funny."

Cath went on to face the chaser in the final round, alongside fellow contestants Kieran, a scientist, tram conductor Emma, and retired mathematician Brian.

Sadly, with £18,000 to play for, Mark beat them with just seconds remaining.
