She will be spending a lot of time in hospital

Emma Willis has revealed she will be back on the maternity ward with a second series of her show, Emma Willis: Delivering Babies.

Now that Big Brother has been axed, the presenter will be focusing on new ventures and she took to Instagram to tell fans about her news.

Alongside a sweet snap of her cradling a newborn, she wrote: “So happy to announce I’m returning to my lovely little maternity family at Princess Alexandra Hospital #DeliveringBabies was an emotional and incredibly rewarding experience and I can’t wait to get back there. Pop the kettle on Val.”

Fans were thrilled by the news with one person commenting: “This has made my week!!! Absolutely loved the first series.”

Another said: “Get in!!! Can’t wait to watch this,” while a third added: “I loved the first series, you did an amazing job.”

The 42-year-old swapped presenting for midwifery when she embarked on the first series last year.

Emma had to undergo specific training to help out the midwives in Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow.

The star – who has daughter Isabelle, nine, son Ace, seven, and two-year-old daughter Trixie Grace with husband Matt Willis – called the experience “incredible”.

It comes after Emma admitted that January has been “weird” because she hasn’t been hosting Celebrity Big Brother.

The show had its final series in 2018, after 18 years on TV.

Emma, who began hosting Big Brother and CBB in 2013, told The Mirror: “January has been weird if I’m being honest. When Big Brother finished, everybody was really sad.”

She added: “But I think all of us thought it would be nice to have a bit of time in January and not have New Year happen and suddenly you are back into it. But if I am honest I have really missed it.”

Emma has certainly got a busy year ahead as she is also hosting The Voice on ITV.

Emma Willis: Delivering Babies will air later this year on the W channel.
