The Chase fans call out host Bradley Walsh for totally harsh move

He faced a backlash from annoyed viewers

Bradley Walsh has enraged fans of The Chase when “an ignorant move” could have cost the contestants a lot of money.

Just a day after viewers had accused the usually popular host of being “grumpy”, Bradley angered them once again by being “tight” with a question.

And we have to admit, Bradley did come across as super harsh when a contestant made a slight pronunciation error in the final round.

You’d almost think Bradders was on the side of the chaser…?

Contestants Michael, Camille, Anwen and Matt all managed to make it back as a full house for the Final Chase against The Beast Mark Labbett – with £20,000 at stake.

It was during the nailbiting round that fans took serious issue with Bradley’s role as host when he refused to accept an answer that was, in fact, correct!

The offending question regarded Monty Python, and Bradley asked: “Which Monty Python member was born in Minnesota?”

To which Matt buzzed in and replied: “Terry Gillam.”

However, Bradley corrected him, saying “Terry Gilliam” and Matt did NOT receive the point.

Wait, what?

Although the pronunciation error caused the team to lose one step against The Beast, he was unable to catch them in the end and, luckily, they walked away with their share of the prize money.

But fans expressed their annoyance on Twitter, with one typing: “Ah come one, should have given him that. He got it right, just pronounced the name slightly wrong #TheChase.”

Another blasted: “He got that question correct, didn’t he?”

A third said Bradley had been “a bit tight”, while another said: “Surely the idea is that you know the answer? Terry Gillam could hardly mean Eric Idle could it? Or John Cleese? He obviously got the question right #TheChase.”

“[Bleep] move by Bradley there,” said another. “That was a close enough answer from Matt. In fact, I didn’t even hear a difference. He should have got the answer given to him #TheChase.”

Harsh, but fair?
