Hollyoaks fans await answers after Darren Osbourne’s kidnapping mystery

He's gone missing and not been mentioned since!

Hollyoaks aired the shock kidnapping of Darren Osbourne earlier this week, but fans have been left hanging as they wait to find out who is responsible – and why.

Darren’s family and friends think he has walked out on Nancy for another woman.

But the truth is far more worrying: he’s been taken.

What happened to Darren in Hollyoaks?

Last week, Darren found a pregnancy test in the bin at home and assumed it was Ella Richardson’s.

But Nancy soon revealed the test was hers and she was carrying Darren’s baby. It’s fair to say he didn’t react well and Nancy ended up kicking him out of the house until he’d calmed down.

Realising what a fool he’d been, Darren went to buy Nancy an ‘I’m sorry’ present, but the next time viewers say him, he was bound and gagged in a strange room.

In Monday’s first look episode on E4 (November 8) Nancy was certain her partner had left her.

She found a note from Darren saying he wasn’t ready to be a father again and was leaving. Luke Morgan also suggested there was another woman involved – and given Darren’s track record for cheating on Nancy and leaving her for someone else, Nancy agreed.

Despite Jack insisting there was more to it, Nancy has given up the search and firmly thinks Darren has left her.

However, Darren is in a hotel room with kidnappers Ethan and his female accomplice.

Darren has realised ‘the woman’ – whoever she may be – is far more dangerous than Ethan, but he hasn’t found a way to escape.

Can Darren make it out alive? And will his friends and family start looking for him any time soon?

Where has Darren gone?

Since we last saw him on Channel 4 on Tuesday, Darren hasn’t been seen since, so his fate remains unknown.

All we have seen is Nancy and Jack’s reactions, but that was earlier in the week and even they haven’t been bothered since.

Viewers at home aren’t happy the soap has left them hanging and seemingly forgotten about the storyline.

And that’s not to mention the confusion over why he’s been kidnapped in the first place!

Seriously, where is Darren?

Over on a Digital Spy forum fans want to know why the soap is acting like the storyline never happened!

One wrote: “Okay So what’s the deal with Darren? When he was kidnapped I thought we would get answers each episode this week but doesn’t seem the case?

“What the [bleep] is going on?”

“It’s like they came up with the idea to have him kidnapped, and then ran out of ideas. I would really like (at least) a clue as to who is responsible, and why,” agreed a second.

A third added: “Absolutely no idea what’s going on. I thought it was a way to get the write the actor out if he’s taking a break but I don’t know the woman who’s responsible for the kidnapping and I don’t know the guy he was talking to.”

Someone else pointed out the soap has a track record of this sort of thing: “Classic Hollyoaks. Remember when Kim disappeared without an explanation on her wedding night or when the entire Osbourne family went into hiding for no reason?”

When will we find out what’s happened to Darren?

Darren’s fate remains unknown.

Spoilers for next week don’t mention what has happened to him and the show has given no clue as to when we’ll see him next.

Will Nancy start to worry and begin searching for him? Or does Darren’s past go against him this time?

And just who has kidnapped Darren – and why?
