Amy and Kerry’s guilt rises as Frank’s death sparks blame in Emmerdale drama

Frank died last week!

It looks like the guilt is getting too much for Amy and Kerry as Frank’s family think the police will blame Frank for the factory fire in tonight’s Emmerdale (August 6 2019).

Last week, Kerry came up with the idea to disable the factory fire alarm in order to steal the charity money for the children’s hospital from the safe.

After she disabled the alarm, she sneaked into the office and took the money. Meanwhile, as the alarm wasn’t working properly, the factory stopped all work until someone could come and take a look at it the next day.

As Amy and Kerry went to return the money, Amy decided to keep it to pay off her debts and destroyed the CCTV footage so there was no proof Kerry took the cash.

As they damaged the footage, Tracy entered the factory to meet up with Billy and while she waited in a cupboard a fire started.

Frank, who had just been fired from the factory, returned to get his engagement ring for girlfriend Megan from his locker and heard a noise.

He soon realised his daughter Tracy was trapped in the cupboard and tried to get her out.

As Billy went by the factory he saw smoke and called the fire brigade and alerted the Sharmas.

Tracy started struggling to breathe and Frank managed to get the cupboard door open to save his daughter.

Tracy got out, but Frank went back in to retrieve the ring.

Unfortunately, as Frank left the factory and it looked like everyone had survived, an explosion went off throwing Frank against a van.

Despite paramedics trying to save his life, Frank was pronounced dead leaving his daughters, Tracy and Vanessa, and his girlfriend Megan, devastated.

In tonight’s episode Amy and Kerry go back to Tug Ghyll cottage where Tracy, Vanessa, Charity and Megan are all sitting in the living room wondering why the police want to speak to Megan again.

Tracy soon starts to worry when she remembers the police asking about her dad the day before and told her they would be exploring all avenues, leading her to think they could pin the blame on Frank.

As Kerry and Amy listen in they look guilty, meanwhile Megan says she will tell them everything she knows.

It all gets too much for Amy as she runs out.

However it looks like Vanessa believes her dad has something to do with the fire as she turns to her girlfriend Charity and said: “She’s still kidding herself that dad wasn’t involved.”

Emmerdale is on Monday to Friday at 7pm with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursday on ITV.
