EastEnders SPOILER: Ruby forced to relive her rape ordeal in court

Will Ross and Matt be found guilty?

Ruby Allen relives her nightmares all over again next week as her attackers, Matt and Ross, finally go to court to face their crimes.

EastEnders fans will know that Ruby was attacked by not one, but two, of Martin Fowler’s old school friends after a drunken night out last year, and she has been understandably struggling with what happened to her ever since.

As Ruby gets to court, she is thrilled to see Jay is there to support her in her moment of need, and encouraged by Jay’s words, she comes to a huge decision about the day ahead of her.

Brave Ruby is faced with reliving her rape all over again, and as she begins to struggle as she is cross examined, Ross is clearly thrilled that things seem to be going in his favour.

The same can’t be said for Matt, though, who is clearly finding the whole ordeal as horrendous as Ruby is.

Then it is Stacey’s turn to giver her version of events, and as she struggles to hide her nerves, she soon crumbles as the defence starts to grill her.

Stacey’s horrified at what happens in the stand, worried that she has let her friend down by messing things up.

But Ruby understands that talking about what happened has bought back difficult memories of Archie and forgives Stacey immediately.

Knowing that she needs to see the court case through, Ruby returns the following day to hear Matt and Ross’s testimonies, and is thrilled when Jay arrives to support her once again.

But as Matt takes to the stand it is all too much for him to cope with and he starts to buckle under pressure… could this mean that things are finally going in Ruby’s favour?
