Corrie favourite Norris Cole made an emotional exit from the cobbles yesterday (Friday June 7).
He drove away Edinburgh to be with his friend Freda Burgess.
But it wasn't just poor Norris who was tearing up - Coronation Street viewers up and down the country were upset at Norris's departure.
The Coronation Street fave - played by Malcolm Hebden - has been in the soap since 1994.
And, last night, it was a sad scene as he left in a car, with friend and current wife Mary Taylor singing him off.
But as ever it wasn't all plain sailing for Norris.
He was late to his own leaving do in the Rovers.
He was in a flap after losing his Commonwealth Games medal, and it was down to Rita to help him find it.
And, at his leaving party, Norris was left to reflect on his time on the cobbles.
Seeing Evelyn stash sandwiches from the buffet in her bag, he ponders how much she reminded him of Blanche Hunt.
As Norris drives off into the sunset, viewers took to Twitter to express their sadness.
One fan said: "Actually gutted Norris has left. #Corrie"
"The cobbles won’t be the same without Norris #corrie @itvcorrie," another said.
Awww, shed a little tear, love Norris.
Finally, one viewer said, "Awww, shed a little tear, love Norris.”
In the final scene, Rita asks Norris when he would be coming back to visit.
"Ah, that would be telling," Norris replied.
