Fans of Coronation Street are not impressed with Gemma and Chesney’s upcoming quadruplet storyline.
After the plot was speculated earlier this year, recent Coronation Street spoilers confirmed that Chesney and Gemma are expecting four babies.
In next week’s scenes, Gemma will collapse in pain and after going to the hospital to get checked, it will then be revealed that she is carrying quads.

However, Corrie fans are not happy about the upcoming storyline.
In a Digital Spy forum called: “Coronation Street confirms quadruplets twist for Gemma Winter and Chesney Brown” a user posted:
“This is nuts, bet it’s leading up to a Christmas plot and delivery, this will be the end for them both as this plot just will not work, long term.”
Another user added: “Ridiculous storyline. How are they going to do this long term? They wouldn’t be able to leave the house with four babies as no-one could babysit or would babysit?
“How are they going to get four baby actors for years to come? On the other hand, if it’s the end of Gemma and Chesney, I’m all for it!”
Another wrote: “I really can’t believe I’m even reading this. Beyond ridiculous.”
Another DS forum user put: “I think they are making a big mistake with this storyline especially if they try to make it funny. Nothing funny about having four babies.”
Another added: “The chances of having quadruplets are around 800,000/1, which are probably the same odds as this being a popular or successful storyline.”
Readers of Entertainment Daily have also expressed their thoughts on the storyline on the ED! Facebook page.
One reader wrote: “Pretty ridiculous storyline given the odds of conceiving quads naturally!”
A second added: “Another stupid storyline for Gemma”.
A third put: “Twins would be more than enough!”

Gemma found out she was pregnant a couple of weeks ago, just after her and Chesney split up.
Chesney already has a son, seven-year-old Joseph, from his previous relationship with Katy Armstrong.
Joseph came to live with Chesney full time after Katy died in an off-screen car accident in Portugal in 2017.
Coronation Street is on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
This week, Coronation Street will air at 9pm Monday-Friday.
