Viewers were left divided over Lorraine Kelly’s Coronation Street cameo appearance in last night’s episode.
Monday’s episode (27 May) saw the Platt family set off for some time away at a holiday park and Gail quickly heard that her hero Lorraine was staying there.
Determined to meet the TV presenter, Gail coerced her daughter Sarah and granddaughter Bethany into chasing Lorraine on a pedalo.
However, it turned out not to be Lorraine as she was actually on the shore of the lake watching Gail, Sarah and Bethany and was seen saying: “Those women are going to capsize if they’re not careful.”
After an unsuccessful pedalo trip, the Platts decided to try archery but that of course didn’t go to plan.
As Gail went to shoot an arrow, she was distracted by Natalie and ended up shooting Lorraine in the leg!

Lorraine was obviously unimpressed with Gail and kicked off at her.

Others however weren’t impressed by the cameo and called the acting “cringeworthy”.

Of all the famous ppl to feature in Corrie it had to be Lorraine. Her acting is as cringeworthy as her acting as herself in the mornings , not that I watch Lorraine in the morning I feel queasy enough in the morning as it is 🤔

The extent of Lorraine’s injury was later revealed as Gail said the arrow only went in her “a little bit” and she was okay.
Despite Lorraine’s pain and Gail’s embarrassment, the Platts found the whole situation hilarious.
This week Coronation Street is on Monday-Friday at 9pm.
