Coronation Street fans fear for Emma as Curtis’s big secret is revealed

The truth about Curtis was revealed to viewers

Coronation Street fans have been left fearing for Emma as Curtis‘s big secret was revealed to viewers in last night’s episodes (Wednesday, December 1).

Curtis arrived in Weatherfield earlier this year in May and immediately caught the eye of Emma Brooker.

The two started to develop feelings for each other and Curtis told Emma that he has a heart condition.

He explained doctors are yet to diagnose the condition, but he feared he could die at any point.

Fearing they don’t have long left, Curtis proposed to Emma and she has been excitedly planning their wedding.

Emma has been wanting her fiancé to go private and see specialists to see if they can find out what exactly is wrong with his heart and if there’s anything that can be.

However in last night’s episode it was revealed that all isn’t as it seems.

In the scenes, Curtis and Emma went to the hospital so Curtis could attend an appointment.

But when they got there, Curtis was worried to find out the doctor he was meant to be seeing had been called away on an emergency.

He panicked when he heard Dr Handley would be taking his appointment.

Curtis didn’t want to see him, telling Emma he’s a time-waster, but Emma persuaded Curtis to see the doctor.

The truth about Curtis is revealed

Curtis went into the appointment alone and the doctor told him there’s nothing wrong with his heart, but Curtis was convinced something isn’t right.

The doctor told Curtis he had concerns he was suffering from a factitious disorder.

A factitious disorder is a mental disorder in which someone deceives others by appearing sick. They do this by deliberately producing, feigning or exaggerating symptoms.

The doctor wanted to refer Curtis to a psychologist, but he wasn’t interested.

Later Curtis’s father, Neville, turned up on the street, leaving Curtis worried as he told Emma his dad had died.

Neville had learnt Curtis is getting married and begged him to tell Emma the truth.

However fans have been left fearing for Emma, knowing that she will get hurt when Emma finds out.
