Coronation Street: Antony Cotton teases big storyline for Sean after signing new contract

Antony has been a part of Corrie since 2003

Coronation Street star Antony Cotton has teased a big storyline for his character Sean Tully after signing a new contract.

Speaking to Daily Star Sunday, Antony said: “I have just signed a new contract. I’ve always said that if they’re happy for me to be there, then I’m happy to be there. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

The actor also explained he felt very lucky to have a job and said Corrie is like a giant family.

Antony also teased a big storyline for Sean now restrictions for TV shows have started to ease.

He said: “There are stories we tried to do, but in the end we couldn’t because of the pandemic. So now they will happen over the next year.

“I have a very big, dramatic storyline that I’m hoping we can pick up and do properly.”

Antony added that they’re getting back into the swing of things now and is looking forward to the next year.

Coronation Street: The return of Sean’s son Dylan

Last year, Sean’s son Dylan came to Weatherfield to visit his dad.

In January of this year he was brought back to Weatherfield by his mum, Violet.

It was revealed Dylan had been suspended from school. Later he told Sean that he was being bullied because his dad is gay.

Sean told his son he would speak to the school and if they bullying continued he could come to live with him.

In the hopes of earning more money viewers saw Sean begin selling beauty products for Double Glammy and recruiting other people to sell for him.

He convinced Daisy Midgeley to sell products. However he saw the damage it caused when his friend Carol, who also joined Double Glammy, was unable to pay her rent due to lack of sales.
