Brits can expect another blistering hot summer after experts predicted three months of “above average temperatures”.
Temperatures are expected to rise to 30C in June – but the late May Bank Holiday weekend could prove disappointing with rain forecast to set in from next Thursday.
According to The Sun, the Met Office believes there is around a 50% chance it will be hotter than is usual for the time of the year until the start of August.
With last summer proving the hottest in the UK since records began – featuring 25 sizzling days where temperatures were over 30C – sun worshippers better make sure they have topped up their sun tan lotion supplies.

The Met Office is reported to have told the tabloid: “For May-July, above-average temperatures are more likely than below-average.
“The probability the UK average temperature will fall into the warmest of our five categories is 45-50 per cent. The coldest of our five categories is five per cent.
“Long-range prediction systems show a consistent increase in the likelihood of high pressure, associated with warmer-than-average conditions.”
Even the bookies are backing the seasonal conditions to blaze even stronger than last summer.

A spokesperson from Coral told the Express website: “There’s every chance that this summer will top the sweltering heights of last year and if it does it will almost certainly go down as the hottest summer the UK has ever seen.”
However, a Met Office expert also believes showers will be closing in next weekend – although the Bank Holiday is unlikely to be a complete washout.
The Sun’s website claims sunny spells approaching 19C will ensure it feels warm, but most areas will be prone to rain.
Before then, tomorrow Monday could see scattered showers develop into heavier rain later on in the day, according to BBC Weather,
