Tabloid reports this morning have claimed that Paul Hollywood’s ex-wife Alex and his new girlfriend Summer Monteys-Fullam had a dramatic confrontation this week.
It was alleged that the 54-year-old had used profanities to insult the GBBO star’s new lover.
But the mum of one has now issued a statement to set the record straight.
The story in The Sun claims she and Summer, 23, came face-to-face while shopping in M & S in Kent.
Onlookers allege that Alex swore and asked Summer: “Do you know how much you’ve hurt my son?”
A second altercation is then said to have followed in the car park, where the source adds: “Summer’s group hammered on [Alex’s] window as she drove off. She later called police complaining of harassment.”
Alex’s spokesman told the tabloid: “There was an unpleasant incident at the supermarket on Tuesday afternoon which frightened Alex and as a result she called the police. They dealt with the matter accordingly.”
Kent Police reportedly confirmed a disturbance, and said “words of advice” had been given to all parties.
ED! has contacted Paul’s spokesperson for comment and, while he is yet to issue a statement, his ex has had her say on Twitter.
She claims that anyone who knows her will appreciate this is not how she behaves and references untruths and anonymous sources.

Last month Alex said she was no longer angry over the end of her marriage.
Alex, who confirmed, along with Paul, the end of their marriage in November 2017, compared the divorce to a bereavement.
She admitted she needed to give herself time “to get [my] head round it”. The food author added: “No one should underestimate how separation and divorce can hit you.
“I went through the same five stages of grief that a bereaved person does [denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance]. You go there in your own way, but I think it’s healthy to do that.
“Being able to be weak is a strength, too, and it’s okay to sit and have a cry.”
Summer and the Great British Bake Off star have always insisted they started dating after Paul’s marriage ended, but Alex accused Paul of adultery in divorce papers.
