Presenter Nicky Campbell caused quite a stir when he decided to post a picture of his teenage daughter’s untidy bedroom on Twitter.
Nicky had a parenting peeve after growing tired of his 18-year-old daughter Lilla’s messy bedroom and decided to share it with the general public.
The Long Lost Family host declared that he is “sick” of the mess.
His picture of the youngster’s room showed clothes, make-up and bags strewn about the floor, along with an open empty suitcase.
Nicky, 58, posted on Twitter: “This is completely unacceptable. You are nearly 19 years old and I am bloody sick of it. I don’t care that you were going to tidy it up. It just really (BEEPS) me off.”
Some of his followers weren’t very impressed by his post.
One wrote: “I couldn’t share that – none of our business.”
Another added: “In public? Bit harsh.”
A third put: “Really very very unfair use of power imbalance. Most inappropriate.”

But others saw the funny side and Nicky insisted it was supposed to be a joke.
One Twitter user commented: “Sympathies. Mine is nearly 20 and it’s still like that when she’s back from uni. I get ‘it’s only clothes’ or ‘I was about to tidy’. I try and shut the door and ignore but it grates!”
And a second added: “Uh oh this isn’t gonna end well. But millions of parents up and down the country at this very moment are going ‘YES, GET IN THERE YOU BEAUTY!'”
Another person joked: “May I suggest you create an installation of the room at @Tate ? Could be worth a fortune in the future 😉.”

Nicky, who is also dad to Breagha, 21, Kirsty, 16, and Isla, 14, defended the post, explaining his daughter was in on the joke.
He tweeted back to one follower: “She helped with the photo and thinks it’s hilarious. It’s a joke and all teenagers have bedrooms like this.”
He added: “It’s light hearted and with permission. I was initially horrified but we laughed and she helped me with the photograph. She is the funniest person I know she makes me laugh out loud but is very untidy.”
