Kym Marsh teases I’m A Celebrity stint but issues warning to campmates

Kym's co-star Alan Halsall also recently dropped a big hint about the jungle

Kym Marsh has said she would be up for taking part in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

Kym recently left Coronation Street following 13 years playing Michelle Connor and has now got her sights set on new projects.

Despite admitting she wouldn’t be very good at the tough challenges and would probably let her fellow campmates down, she would still be up for a future stint in the jungle.

“I’d be terrible! I wouldn’t like the bugs or the sleep deprivation and I’d never jump out of a helicopter. My camp mates would probably starve because I’d fail to win any stars,” she said in her column for OK! magazine.

“Never say never, but I don’t want to do any reality shows so soon after leaving the Street later this year.”

Kym’s Corrie co-star Alan Halsall, who plays Tyrone Dobbs, recently dropped a big hint that he would be heading Down Under for this year’s series when he posted a snap of himself enjoying the outdoors.

Commenting on Alan’s photo, Kym said he’d make a great addition to the line-up.

She added: “I don’t know if he’s going on or not, but he’d be brilliant because he’s got a great sense of humour and he’s a team player.”

One person who reportedly isn’t so keen on Alan heading into the jungle is his ex-wife Lucy-Jo Hudson.

The actress is said to be worried that he’ll spill the secrets of their marriage split while he’s on the show.

A source told The Sun: “I think it is fair to say that Lucy would prefer Alan to remain in Weatherfield.”

They continued: “People always get emotional and talk about their personal lives in I’m a Celebrity because a lot of time they are hungry, lonely and vulnerable and there’s nothing else to do.”

Alan was reportedly left “heartbroken” following the end of his nine-year marriage to Lucy-Jo last year.

The former couple are parents to adorable daughter Sienna, six.

Alan is currently happily loved-up with his former Coronation Street co-star Tisha Merry.
