The horrifying details of actor John Michie’s daughter’s final few minutes were revealed in court on Tuesday.
Jurors heard how Louella Fletcher-Michie’s boyfriend, Ceon Broughton – who has denied manslaughter – failed to get medical help as she died, instead filming her on his phone.
A report from The Mirror says the court heard how Ceon, 29, gave his girlfriend a “bumped-up” dose of a class A substance and “failed to act” for six hours, leaving her to die in a secluded area at the Bestival music festival.
He is also said to have ignored frantic messages from Louella’s family, including ex-Coronation Street and current Holby City actor John, his wife Carol, and their son, Sam.
Louella, who died on her 25th birthday, was found unresponsive in a wooded area on the edge of the event site at Lulworth Castle in Dorset in the early hours of 11 September, 2017.
Prosecutor William Mousley QC reportedly told jurors: “He filmed her when she was disturbed and seriously ill over a period of hours and even did so after she was dead.
“It was only after her death that he finally left to speak to someone. They were 400 metres from the hospital on the site. Throughout this period Louella does not appear to use her mobile and that’s because of the shocking state she was in.”
The court was shown 15 minutes of video footage from that night, taken by the defendant.

The start of the court case was disrupted when a juror was asked to withdraw from service as she’s a fan of Holby City, according to the Daily Star.
The prosecutor is believed to have asked the 28 jurors: “We ask that any potential jurors make themselves known if they are regular watchers of Holby City on the television.”
A middle-aged woman was reportedly asked to stand aside after making it known she did watch the hospital drama.
The 61-year-old actor, who plays Guy Self in the BBC medical drama, was absent from the show for a year after her tragic death, but his return was announced in September.
He regularly shares loving tributes to his late daughter on Instagram, who he describes as inspiring “all who knew her with her joy of life”.
