Ferne McCann has appeared on This Morning for the first time since announcing her pregnancy.
The star is expecting her first child with now ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins, who has been charged with an acid attack at a nightclub in London last month.
Despite wowing fans with her honesty and bravery in the interview it didn’t stop people trolling the star for not showing sympathy to the acid attack victims.
Speaking to hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby Ferne, 26, said: “Being in the public eye I was concerned, and thought the public will public judge me, have an opinion which they are entitled to do.
“It’s not how I imagined my first pregnancy, but it’s not about me, it’s about the baby. My main concern and priority is my baby.
“It’s a blessing.”
But the former TOWIE star has been subjected to awful online abuse from trolls claiming she should have mentioned the acid attack victims.
One wrote on Twitter: “Is it fair to say that they would have had their mate Ferne on sooner but she has been practicing crying on cue? #thismorning.”
“I do like ferne but shouldn’t the victims be able to speak out aswell? #ThisMorning.”
A third tweeted: “Ferne Mccann your interview was me, me, me. Would have been nice to say something about boyfriend’s victims. Sorry.”
However, Phil did make it clear at the top of the interview that they weren’t able to discuss Collins for legal reasons.
Ferne is concentrating on the “touching” and “humbling” messages she’s received from fans.
Speaking on the lunchtime show she added: “The public have been so amazing, so supportive, and that’s what’s got me through.
“Reading through my private messages has been so touching, so humbling… sorry, I can’t.
“That’s what I’m so grateful for. From single mums and dads to people who have never even seen me on TV… I have to get this out. Everyone has been amazing.”
We thought she did amazingly well. Good for her.
