Ferne McCann breaks down during emotional interview on This Morning

It's the first time she has discussed her pregnancy

| Updated:

Ferne McCann has spoken publicly for the first time since it was revealed that she is pregnant.

The TV presenter is expecting a baby with now ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins, who has been charged with an acid attack at a nightclub in east London last month.

Naturally Ferne chose to talk to Phil Schofield and Holly Willoughby on This Morning, where she works as a showbiz correspondent.

The former TOWIE star broke down and had to be comforted with a hug from Holly at one point as she spoke about the kindness she has received from the public.

“Messages on Instagram have been so touching and so humbling, that is what I am so grateful for,” she sobbed.

“I think that is what gets me the most; people’s kindness. It’s been lovely.”

The mum to be admitted that she was concerned how people would judge her after the scandal about her ex broke.

“Being in the public eye I was concerned, and thought the public will public judge me, have an opinion which they are entitled to do.

“But I didn’t need to worry because the public have been so amazing and so supportive.”

The Essex native says she is concentrating on the positives.

“It’s not how I imagined my first pregnancy, but it’s not about me, it’s about the baby. My main concern and priority is my baby.

“It’s a blessing.”

Ferne revealed she’s not had the easiest of pregnancies in her first trimester.

“I feel like I’ve had all symptoms,” she joked. “All the nausea, crazy headaches that led to being sick.

“I don’t know why they call it morning sickness, I’ve had it morning, noon and night!

“I’m coming out of that stage now and feeling good.”

Brave girl – it was a tough interview to watch, so for her to get through it must have been really hard.
