As one Corrie star quits, is this notorious character coming back?

Soap legend sends fans into a tizzy after making a comment on Twitter

Don’t you just love it when a soap brings back a popular old face from the wilderness.

EastEnders has been doing it with relish over the past year or so, most notably when they brought Kathy Beale back from the dead in the back of a taxi.

Just recently viewers saw Toyah Battersby reunited with her screen sis Leanne on Corrie.

But could we be in for a bigger family reunion?

Perhaps,  because their battle axe mum Janice could be headed back to Weatherfield.

Well, so actress Vicky Entwistle has hinted.

The one-time Celebrity Big Brother housemate has clearly been tuning into the show to watch what her two daughters have been getting up to.

Just this week in an episode where Nick Tilsley launched a verbal attack on Leanne for helping Peter Barlow, our Vic was straight on social media to vent her anger.

“Think I may have to take you in hand lad” she tweeted.

Her thousands of followers immediately took this as a hint that she might be heading back to the show and demanded to know if she was.

One suggested to Vicky: “Would love to see Janice come back and tear a strip off Nick.”

But it’s not just Vicky’s tweet that set tongues wagging.

Earlier this week Georgia fuelled the rumours Janice and Les – played by Bruce Jones – could be making a comeback.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Georgia who plays Toyah, teased a family reunion is possible.

“We are just focusing on the relationship of the sisters and what’s going to happen with them but we’ll wait and see…”

Jane Danson who plays Leanne said as long as there are Battersbys in the street the door is open for more to return.

We haven’t seen Les and Janice for years and the Street has been a sorrier place for it.

Les left the soap ten years ago to work as a roadie while Janice left Weatherfield with her boyfriend Trevor Dean back in 2011.
