Harry Redknapp dreamed about indulging jam roly polys while on rations of rice and beans in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here jungle and now the King of the Jungle is set to hand the sponge pudding out to the homeless in Bournemouth.
The 71-year-old, who lost over a stone in weight during his time in camp, revealed that he has been inundated with the traditional puddings since leaving the jungle.
Now, along with his wife Sandra, Harry will be handing out the puddings to those less fortunate this Christmas.
He told the Mail Online: "We got half a hundred weight here been sent by different people. Everybody’s sending me jam roly poly puddings. I’m waiting for someone who makes them to ask me to do an advert.
"What we will do Thursday night is take them and give them to the homeless. Hopefully Sandra will be able to cook some as there is a place where they get a dinner on a Thursday night…
"So we will take it to those guys, I think they will enjoy that. I wish everybody good health over Christmas, your health is your wealth."
Homeless charity Hope for Food said the former football manager’s support was a "massive boost".
I’m waiting for someone who makes them to ask me to do an advert.
Harry has also revealed that he plans to join his former I’m A celebrity campmate Rita Simons on stage in panto.
Talking about landing a cameo in Sleeping Beauty at the Bournemouth Pavilion, he told the Mirror: "I am ready for a walk-on part. I don’t know what it’s going to be but it’s Christmas and you have got to give people a laugh."
Sandra has also revealed that her husband of 51 years only entered the jungle so he had some new tale to regale his friends with.
She told The Sun: "He knew he wasn’t going to manage another football team again, but he loves new challenges.
"He went into the jungle with the aim of giving him something else to talk about down the pub with his mates."
