EastEnders SPOILER: BBC Christmas trailer hints at BIG news for the Carters

There's more drama in store for the family

The BBC have revealed their exciting Christmas trailer – and given EastEnders fans an exciting glimpse at Mick and Linda’s vow renewal.

After what can certainly be described as a turbulent year in the Carter household, things are finally looking up for Mick and Linda as they celebrate their marriage being back on track this Christmas.

In a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, the trailer shows Mick dressed up to the nines in a dark red jacket and smart tie, complete with a buttonhole of flowers.

Linda looks beautiful as ever with her hair piled high, held in place with a sparkly pink band.

She is also wearing a lacy pink dress, that looks very much like a wedding dress.

In the trailer Mick simply tells Linda: “I love you.”

The Carters were left horrified at the end of last week when it dawned on them they’d been duped by Fi Browning, who has pretended to be helping them save The Vic.

As the realisation that they were going to be evicted from their home in the New Year hit, Mick and Linda are going to be forced to look for new jobs outside of Walford.

But with a dodgy job offer from newcomer Aidan Maguire on the table, Mick decides to take on the new role in a bid to stay in Albert Square.

While it’s clear that there is going to be drama on the cards when Mick finds himself caught up in something decidedly shifty, this latest trailer from the BBC hints that the family might also have something happy to look forward to.

The Carters’ vow renewal is set to be one of the big EastEnders Christmas storylines.

But how long will their happiness last?

EastEnders’ executive consultant John Yorke recently told Radio Times: “Mick and Linda are desperate to save their home and marriage, and aren’t going down without a fight.

“Mick finds himself offered a lifeline by Aidan – but one with huge consequences that could leave Mick in greater trouble than he could ever imagine.”
