Coronation Street viewers think Will has kidnapped Michelle

The series of mysterious attacks on Michelle and Robert reached a new and extreme level on Friday night

Coronation Street fans are pointing fingers at Michelle Connor’s former flame, Will, after a series of mysterious attacks culminated in her being kidnapped on Friday night.

Viewers of the ITV soap’s double bill saw Kym Marsh’s character panic as she suddenly woke up to find herself bound and gagged in a parked car, moments after she had been having a drink in the bar while somebody looked on.

It marked the latest and most extreme in a wave of attacks on her and partner Robert Preston’s (Tristan Gemmill) relationship.

Last week, a threatening R.I.P written on the wall of the Bistro and an arson attempt on the restaurant with a Molotov cocktail left the pair fearing for their lives.

They were convinced it was Robert’s ex friend, Rich, who had vowed revenge after Robert set him up with the police, but despite Robert’s determination it can only be the drug dealer, fans aren’t so sure.

Earlier in the show, things were strained between Robert and Michelle as they went on a double date with Maria Connor and Michelle’s ex Will, who recently returned to Weatherfield.

And now show fans are starting to suspect the seemingly innocent character is behind the campaign of terror, with one posting on Twitter: “Will is definitely the stalker #Corrie.”

Another added: “Will is the stalker, calling it #corrie,” while one wrote: “It’s Will who has got her, I’m sure of it.”

“Will is Robert and Michelle’s stalker I’m sure of it. He’s either still in love with Michelle or its payback for all she cost him #Corrie,” said a third.

A fourth was convinced: “Will 100% kidnapped Michelle #corrie.”

And now it seems Michelle’s life is in danger, but who really has her? Will? Rich? Or someone else entirely?

The drama will continue next week, as Robert’s worries mount over his missing girlfriend.
