The trouble starts when Gary heads to a job, even though he’s been drinking. Sarah worries, rightly so, because Gary is trapped under a load of scaffolding when it collapses due to a mistake he makes.

Gary is rushed to hospital, but there isn’t any serious damage. But don’t breathe those sighs of relief too soon.

He is forced to admit to his boss, Don, that he doesn’t have any insurance. Gary’s sacked and ordered to pay £10k for the damage he caused. Ouch.

His money worries look set to worsen as Sarah has just put down a deposit on a flat.

It’s not long before Gary is thinking about his friend Joe’s offer of some dodgy security work in the Ukraine.

He knows it’s dodgy, but he soon calls Joe and tells him he’ll take the assignment.

Gary then makes things worse by lying to Sarah, telling he’s off to work with his dad in Germany for a few weeks.

But when Sarah says she’ll go with him, will his lies be revealed?

Gary is told that he needs to have a will in place before he heads out to the Ukraine. Um, dodgy doesn’t even cover that.

Actor Mikey North who plays the troubled builder said: “He doesn’t really know what he’s going to do and that’s the problem. He’s used to dealing with violent situations, it’s more the unknown of what it’s going to be like.

“When Gary first agrees, he doesn’t really realise how risky it will be until Joe says can you write a will before you go. He just goes ahead with it because he’s so desperate to pay off the 10 grand he owes.

“It will take him a year to earn that probably, whereas there he can earn that in a week.”
