Coronation Street viewers beside themselves as Pat Phelan is revealed to be ALIVE

It's an Easter miracle!

| Updated:

Easter weekend didn’t witness just one miracle… it also saw serial killer Pat Phelan rise again after being pushed to his watery grave by his wife Eileen.

Or so we all thought!

Viewers had to wait right until the end of Monday’s double bill to see that the Weatherfield baddie is alive and spitting.

The rest of the episodes were dedicated to residents coming to terms with the news they’ve been living amidst a mass murderer.

Poor Eileen was arrested, with police convinced she was in on the whole thing, and had planned to do a runner abroad with her husband.

But then, up popped Phelan, in a cute little B & B – he had survived his plunge into the sea and apparently washed up in Ireland.

Checked in as Mr Frost, Phelan turned on the charm for the kindly owner, who brought him needle and thread.

He had suffered some nasty injuries and set about sewing up a nasty gash on his leg with his own not-so-fair hands.

Corrie fans were, of course, beside themselves…

Phelan’s alter ego Connor McIntyre returned to Twitter after a weekend’s break, and had a little laugh about the whole affair…
