Pictures from EastEnders show the tense moment Denise Fox gets ready to give her child up for adoption.
The photos show her hovering over the consent forms as she makes the final decision.
Just a few weeks after giving birth to Phil Mitchell’s baby in the BBC soap, Fox (played by Diane Parish) seemed set on what she wanted to do next.
But after her sister Kim’s disapproval, her expression in the pictures suggests the decision may not be such an easy one at the last moment.
Denise has got A LOT on her mind, after slapping schoolboy Keegan Baker.
He started winding her up recently after he bounced his ball into the flower beds in the Square.
Dee told him off, and Stacey backed her up, leaving Keegan to skulk off to school, not happy at having been given what for.
But when they encountered each other in the same spot later on, Keegan played the big man and started giving her lip.
When she asked him to pick his crisp packet up, he trampled all over the flowers as he walked towards her and said:
“You’re just a miserable, unhappy old bag with nothing going on in her life.”
What a nasty piece of work!
He didn’t stop there either. As Dee tried to walk away, he told her he was glad she wasn’t his mum because she was “whinging” and “stuck up”.
Still feeling raw following her adoption meeting earlier, Denise couldn’t control her temper and lashed out, smacking Keegan hard and sending him flying to the ground.
Unfortunately half the Square were watching on and as Keegan stood up he made sure Denise knew he was going to use them all as witnesses and have her thrown in prison for assault.

The Minute Mart worker – she drew blood on his face with the slap, and he’s also a schoolboy. Assaulting a minor is even worse.
Poor Denise.
Fans were quick to leap to her defence though as they took to Twitter to express their solidarity.
Lisa Barnes tweeted: “Wonder how many people cheered Denise when she back handed that lad just then?”

And after his threat to call the cops, viewers were even less impressed with the teen tearaway who’s been tormenting the Square in recent weeks.

Sadly for Dee though, the law doesn’t work like that.
