Tipping Point usually airs at 4pm before The Chase follows an hour later, but viewers were annoyed after not getting their daily dose of hosts Ben Shephard and Bradley Walsh last night.

One Tipping Point viewer wrote on Twitter: “Oh the one time I have time to watch #tippingpoint it’s bloody horse racing. Who’s bright idea was it to put Royal Ascot on?”

Another said: “No #TippingPoint or #TheChase because of horse racing wtf. Why not put it on the other #itv channels.”

A third tweeted: “And where is tipping point today????? #itv #tippingpoint.”

Meanwhile, fans of The Chase voiced their anger over the hit game show being cancelled.

And to make matters worse, the show’s official Twitter account hadn’t realised the programme was being cancelled.

They tweeted: “#TheChase is on @ ITV and @ WeAreSTV NOW. Are you ready to quiz?”

One person said: “So they took #TheChase off and put horse racing on. Who ever did this I hope their hair falls out on their daughter’s wedding day.”

Another wrote: “Am I a joke to you ITV? Horse racing? #thechase,” while a third added: “Love the racing like the next man but taking The Chase off ITV for it that’s too far ITV #ascot #TheChase.”

Unfortunately for fans, both Tipping Point and The Chase have been cancelled again tonight to make way for the racing.
