Philli Armitage-Mattin made her debut on This Morning today, but viewers were not pleased with Dermot O’Leary’s behaviour.
Alison Hammond and Dermot introduced a brand new chef for the show’s cooking segment on the Friday edition of the daytime series.
However, Dermot ended up ruining Philli’s debut for some viewers.
“Making her stunning This Morning debut, it is the brilliant Philli Armitage-Mattin,” Dermot said.
Earlier on the show, Philli had said: “Today I am making the most delicious salmon. It is ready for the family and I am going to be using my secret ingredient flavour. I will be sharing it all with you later.”
“It’s a secret,” said Alison.

Dermot laughed: “I love a secret. I love a secret ingredient. I may be a little light-fingered later. That secret ingredient might be coming home with me.”
Later on during her first segment, viewers commented that Philli appeared to be quite nervous.
Although fans thought she was doing a good job, many were questioning why Dermot appeared to not be being very helpful.
This Morning new chef
Viewers rushed to social media to hit back at the presenter for interrupting Philli and not allowing her to concentrate.
One fan said: “#ThisMorning God can Dermot shut up for 1 bloody minute, she’s nervous, let her cook.”
“Dermot, pipe down and let the girl speak! But-in Billy #ThisMorning,” said a second viewer.

A third ranted: “Stop asking so many questions Dermot, he’s so annoying #ThisMorning.”
However, other viewers were pleased to see the presenters offering support to their new colleague.
“At least Alison and Dermot have been professional hosts and helped the chef through her first time on #ThisMorning,” said one viewer.
