Second Dancing On Ice contestant exclusively revealed on Lorraine

She's made her mind up...

| Updated:

On yesterday’s This Morning Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were given the honour of revealing the first confirmed celebrity to appear on the new series of Dancing On Ice.

Not to be out-done, Lorraine Kelly was given her own exclusive on her show today, revealing the second star to take part as… drum roll please… Cheryl Baker.

The 63-year-old Bucks Fizz star said she’s wondering if she’ll live to regret taking on the challenging show at her age.

She said: “I am feeling nervous, we started training yesterday and they were giving me all these things to do and movements and telling me to go on one leg. I don’t know how to do that!”

She joked then “is it too late to say no?”

Her reveal on Lorraine as the next Dancing On Ice contestant was rather convenient as she was already on the show to perform with her former bandmates, who have reunited under the stage name The Fizz.

The group won the Eurovision Song Content back in 1981 with the hit Making Your Mind Up and will now release a new album. However, they can’t use their original name for legal reasons.

Cheryl joins Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent, aka Sophie Webster, who has been confirmed as the first celebrity to put her skates on.

Other rumoured participants include X Factor star Jake Quickenden and Hollyoaks’ actress Stephanie Waring.

The show have been teasing the audience via Instagram with pictures hinting at who will take part and this week they have started confirming the stars.

The ice dancing competition will return to ITV early next year after a three year break with a number of changes.

Olympians Torvill and Dean will return but this time they will be judges instead of mentors. They will join returning judge Jason Gardiner and Diversity’s Ashley Banjo.
