He was once the welterweight champion of the world. But boxer Amir Khan has definitely gone soft as he’s got older, if last night’s Bushtucker Trial is anything to go by.
The 30-year-old lasted barely any time at all in Critter-cal Rescue, before bringing it all to an end by yelling “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here”.
He was being encouraged to keep going by hosts Ant and Dec and by his campmate Georgia Toffolo, who was also doing the trial.
But none of that was enough to get Amir to stay in the underground tunnels, after he accidentally grabbed hold of a snake and pulled it out.
Back at the camp they had to tell everyone they’d got zero stars, and Amir embellished things slightly, saying it had been “a python” and that “he’d nearly died”.

Viewers back at home were venting their frustrations and laughing at the Bolton-born boxer for bailing so early on.
And Amir’s wife Farya Makhdoom was joining them!
The model mum – pregnant with the couple’s second child – was obviously watching her husband’s attempts, and wasn’t impressed.
She tweeted: “I don’t think my hubby @amirkingkhan realises what he got himself into! #ImaCelebrity”
She also liked a post sent by the official ITV account which read: “Come on, your name’s Amir Khan not Amir Khan’t!”
The couple have only just reunited, after months of bitter public rows and disputes about infidelity.
Before he headed down under, Amir tweeted a picture of the happy couple back together.
So we can only imagine what she might have been saying about him if they were still at war…
She could definitely be right in thinking Amir has no idea what he’s doing.
Previously saying he’d never watched the show, last night we saw him ask his fellow campmates what “critter” meant.
And he’d also been forced to hand over his £100k diamond-studded Cartier watch, as he didn’t know they weren’t allowed.
But he’ll get the hang of it soon – viewers have voted him to do another Bushtucker Trial tonight.
