I’m A Celebrity stars removed from castle after this weekend’s shows cancelled

The bad weather has halted production

The I’m A Celebrity 2021 stars have been removed from the castle after this weekend’s shows became cancelled.

Earlier today, bosses announced that tonight and tomorrow night’s episodes would not air.

Instead, “compilation shows” would air featuring “best moments from previous series”.

Now, I’m A Celebrity has revealed that the campmates have been removed from the castle and into quarantine.

A statement from the show read: “Whilst we get the production base back up and running after suffering technical issues due to the storm, we have removed the celebrities from the castle.”

The celebrities will individually return to quarantine to ensure they remain Covid secure.

They will then return to the castle when it’s safe to do so.

Earlier today, the show released a statement to explain this weekend’s episodes would no longer air.

It read: “Owing to technical difficulties caused by extreme weather conditions in the area, there will be no new episodes of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! this weekend (Saturday and Sunday).

“I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! will be replaced tonight and tomorrow night in the ITV schedules by compilation shows (voiced by Ant & Dec) featuring best moments from previous series.”

On Friday night, Ant and Dec pre-recorded the show because of the storm.

ITV explained that hosts Ant and Dec recorded the programme in advance as a “precautionary measure” as Storm Arwen hit Wales.

What did viewers say?

Viewers expressed their sadness over this weekend’s shows. However, they understood the decision to keep campmates and the production crew safe.

One person said on Twitter: “I don’t mind this it’s the best to keep everyone safe. I hope the show returns on Monday night stay safe everyone!!!”
