Good Morning Britain star drops hint she’s going into I’m A Celebrity…

Is she or isn't she?

Did Kate Garraway just announce she’s headed to the jungle for the next series of ITV’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here?

Speaking to the Express.co.uk she addressed whether she’d be appearing on the show – or rather, she avoided it, saying “You’re not allowed to talk about things like that, are you? No… you can’t talk about it.”

The questions came after the Good Morning Britain star referred to a certain charity challenge as a “training ground” for the reality show’s infamous Bushtucker Trials.

The segment sees the show’s contestants endure physical and gastronomical challenges involving some of the less appetising creatures of the jungle. In the past, celebrity contestants have been forced to consume a range of edible-but-not-really items, including kangaroo testicles, cockroaches, silk worms, and cow’s urine.

Speaking of a recent fundraiser for Global’s Make Some Noise Day, Kate commented, “This could be training ground for the jungle, I don’t know. I would always looks at that segment of the show and think I could not do that.”

The charity challenge saw Kate attempt to drink three smoothies – each representing a specific fundraising goal.

The first, and ostensibly easiest smoothie was a blend of leaves, including stinging nettles, and was almost impossible for the presenter to get down for two reasons: not only did it taste terrible, it was almost too thick to make it through the straw.

The second was a blended full English breakfast, and while Kate acknowledged that it would be delicious in its original state, she struggled to down more than a couple of sips.

But it was the final smoothie that really felt in line with the I’m a Celeb challenge – blended up fish guts and fish heads, scales included. Kate gagged on the smoothie, but managed to drink a few mouthfuls.

Asked by Express.co.uk how she thought she would fair in the trials, she said “I think I would be horrific… erm, yeah… I think it would be a disaster.”

When pressed about whether she would appear on the show, she responded that it was a “really great show,” but would neither confirm nor deny the possibility of her appearing.

She also said she was busy supporting co-star Charlotte Hawkins on the current season of Strictly Come Dancing.

Referring to the criticism Charlotte’s faced for her performances so far she said, “I think it has been really tough but she’s made of strong stuff. I think she’ll come back. Charlotte for the Glitterball.”

The new series of I’m a Celeb is set to start filming in Australia soon, and is scheduled to hit screens later this year.
